Mission Statement
The David Hill Charitable Trust exists for the public benefit, aiming to improve individual prospects and local life through two core areas of support:
Heritage & Skills Education:
Providing practical, skills-based learning in construction and the built environment, while promoting the understanding and preservation of historic places.
Community & Youth Development:
Championing local life by supporting school initiatives, the advancement of amateur youth sports, and community-building events.

We believe that Britain’s historic buildings are not simply relics of the past, but living assets that shape identity, place, and opportunity. Through practical education and direct engagement, we aim to help more people understand how these buildings work, why they matter, and how they can be cared for properly. In doing so, we hope to build confidence in working with heritage, rather than seeing it as something remote or overly complex.
By opening up access to real projects and real environments, we seek to inspire a broader appreciation of the country’s built legacy. Whether through hands-on learning, observation, or discussion, our intention is to pass on knowledge in a way that is grounded, accessible, and useful.
